Political Roast Privacy Policy

Political Roast is designed with privacy at its core. We do not require user accounts, profiles, logins, or registration, and we do not ask users to provide personal information such as their name, email address, phone number, physical address, or payment-card or banking information.
We do not use advertising identifiers for advertising, behavioral advertising, or cross-app tracking, and we do not create profiles of individual users or their political preferences.
Ratings and Political Activity
Political Roast allows users to anonymously rate politicians. Ratings submitted through the app are transmitted to and stored by our service so that aggregate ratings can be calculated and displayed.
Because ratings concern politicians, app stores may classify this information as data relating to political beliefs or activity. Political Roast does not associate submitted ratings with a user account, name, email address, or other intentionally collected personal identity, and we do not use ratings to construct profiles of individual users or their political preferences.
Technical information necessary to allow a device to update a previously submitted rating may be retained. This mechanism is designed to avoid creating a persistent identity that connects a user's ratings across different politicians.
Searches and App Activity
When you search for politicians or use certain features of Political Roast, search terms and information about app interactions may be transmitted to our servers or service providers as necessary to provide those features, operate the app, diagnose problems, measure operational performance, and protect the service.
Political Roast does not use this information for behavioral advertising or to create personal political profiles.
Location and Technical Information
Political Roast does not request access to your device's GPS or precise location.
Like most internet services, however, network requests may include an IP address. Our hosting and security infrastructure may process or log IP-derived information such as approximate city or country. This information may be used for security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, compliance, and operation of the service.
Political Roast and service providers used to operate the app may also process limited technical information such as device or app identifiers, app interactions, diagnostic information, network information, and related operational data.
Purchases
Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Political Roast does not receive or store your payment-card number, bank-account information, billing credentials, or Apple or Google account credentials.
We may process and retain the minimum transaction information necessary to verify purchases, prevent duplicate or fraudulent fulfillment, provide purchased functionality, process refunds or revocations, recover purchases where applicable, and meet applicable store, accounting, security, or compliance requirements.
Transaction information is not used to create a personal profile or political-preference profile.
Service Providers and Data Sharing
Political Roast uses third-party infrastructure and platform services necessary to operate, secure, distribute, diagnose, and maintain the app. These may include services provided by companies such as Apple, Google, Firebase, Supabase, hosting or content-delivery providers, and other infrastructure providers.
Limited technical information, including app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or app identifiers, may be transmitted to these providers as part of providing app functionality, analytics, security, fraud prevention, compliance, or technical operations.
Political Roast does not sell personal information or user data. We do not share politician ratings or political-belief information with third parties for advertising, marketing, or the creation of personal political profiles.
Security
Data transmitted between Political Roast and its backend services is encrypted in transit using secure network connections.
Political Roast may use security and integrity services provided by Apple, Google, Firebase, and related infrastructure to verify legitimate application requests, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect the service.
Data Retention and Deletion
Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose. Aggregate ratings and information necessary to operate the rating system may persist as part of the service. Transaction and security information may be retained as necessary for purchase verification, fraud prevention, refunds or revocations, compliance, accounting, and related operational requirements.
Because Political Roast does not maintain user accounts or intentionally associate ratings with a personal identity, we may not be able to identify which anonymous ratings or technical records belong to a particular individual.
Political Roast does not currently provide a verified mechanism for users to request deletion of data associated with them.
Third-Party Links
Political Roast may provide links to third-party websites, news sources, or other services. When you leave Political Roast and visit a third-party service, that service's own privacy practices and policies apply.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Political Roast evolves or as our legal, technical, or platform requirements change. Material changes to our privacy practices will be reflected in an updated version of this policy.
